Thursday, April 28, 2011 3:50 PM

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The new edition of “Alachua County Talks” features an in-depth interview with renowned artist Margaret Ross Tolbert.  Tolbert discusses her new book “Aquiferious,” which took a Florida Book Awards gold medal in the non-fiction category and silver medal in the fine arts category.

Aquiferious is a unique and enlightening book that explores North Central Florida’s springs through Tolbert’s paintings, writings, and the writings of a distinguished and accomplished group of springs experts from many fields.

In speaking of the interview host Mark Sexton said, “I encourage anyone interested in art, science, and our environment to tune in.  Ms. Tolbert’s perspective and decades long, intimate relationship with the springs makes for a fascinating conversation.”

The show premieres on Friday April 29, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. on Cox channel 12.
