2011/2012 CAPP Poverty Reduction Funding

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications from 501(c)(3) organizations for the Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP) poverty reduction funding program.  Agencies must have a physical location in Alachua County and current 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.  Approximately $920,000 is available for programs that reduce poverty among Alachua County residents.  All documents pertaining to the grant are available online (click here to go to documents online) or from the Alachua County Office of Purchasing 3rd Floor, County Administration Building, 12 SE 1st Street, Gainesville, Florida 32601, 352-374-5202.

Programs must fall into one of the following four categories:  Food, Health Care, Housing/Supportive Living or Child Physical Safety or Academic Education.  The categories and their criteria are explained in the application instructional document and will be covered in the pre-application workshop and the pre-application instructional video.  Applications are due by 5 p.m. on May 25, 2011.  Applications are to be turned in to the Alachua County Purchasing Division, 3rd Floor, County Administration Building, 12 SE 1st Street, Gainesville, Florida 32601, 352-374-5202.  No late applications will be accepted.

All applicants are required to attend the pre-application workshop OR view the online or DVD pre-application instructional video.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011.  No applications past 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 will be accepted.  Applications are time-stamped upon submission and none will be accepted past a 5 p.m. time stamp.  Applicants are encouraged to allow time for very limited downtown parking.
