Rescission of the Boil Water Notice

This release put out at the request of the Alachua County Health Department

Alachua County, FL - The "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" issued Monday, April 12, 2010 to customers of the Melrose Water Association Public Water System on the West side of SR 21, has been lifted.

The satisfactory completion of a two-day bacteriological clearance demonstrated no bacteriological contamination of the water system.

The precautionary boiled water notice was advised following water line repairs that resulted in a loss of pressure on Monday April, 12, 2010.
