Fair Housing Act & 55+ Communities Workshop

ALACHUA COUNTY,FL - In celebration of Fair Housing Month, the Alachua County and City of Gainesville Equal Opportunity Offices, in partnership with the Florida Commission on Human Relations presents the "Fair Housing Act & 55+ Communities" training workshop. The workshop is on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Multipurpose Center (1028 N.E. 14th Street, Gainesville).

The Fair Housing Act provides equal opportunity for all Americans in the sale, rental and financing of housing and prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, age, marital status, disability, familial status, color, religion, sex or national origin.

The workshop is free but advance registration is required.  The registration deadline is April 13, 2010.
