New Fairgrounds Development Workshop

3/25/2008 12:48 PM

12:50 p.m.

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County will hold a New Alachua County Fairgrounds Development Workshop on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at 6 p.m. in the Alachua County Health Department Auditorium, 224 S.E. 24th St. Gainesville, FL.

Alachua County is in the process of developing the New Alachua County Fairgrounds, which will be located on Waldo Road north of Northeast 63rd Avenue.  The County is now at a critical planning and development stage for the New Fairgrounds and is seeking citizen input on the most recently proposed design elements that would be needed to best accommodate the various potential uses of the site.  The public is invited to attend the workshop and provide this valued input.

The workshop will consist of a brief review of the data that stakeholders have already provided and an interactive discussion concerning prioritizing site elements and preferences for the layout of the New Fairgrounds.

For more information, contact Rick Drummond, Assistant County Manager, or Laura Kane at 352-374-5204.
