Extension Office to Hold Two Classes in February

ALACHUA COUNTY - The UF/IFAS Alachua County Extension Office will be holding the following classes in February:
 
Toward Permanent Weight Management
 
The Extension Office is offering a free condensed version of Toward Permanent Weight Management. A day time and an evening three-session class are offered on the following schedule:
 
Class 1
February 4th   - 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
February 11th - 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
February 18th - 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
 
Class 2
February 4th   - 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
February 11th - 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
February 18th - 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
 
All classes will be held at the UF/IFAS Alachua County Extension Office, 2800 NE 39th Ave. in Gainesville. Register by 4:00 p.m. January 31 by calling (352) 337-6209 (voicemail).

Bread Making Demonstration
 
On February 1 at 10:00 a.m., the UF/IFAS Alachua County Extension Office will demonstrate how simple and cost effective it can be to make fresh bread.  Information and recipes will be provided for making basic bread as well as whole wheat and sour dough variations. Also included will be a demonstration and samples of cinnamon rolls featuring yeast dough made with the food processor.
 
The demonstration will be held at the Alachua County Extension Office, located at 2800 NE 39th Ave. Please register by calling (352) 337-6209 by January 30.
