Holiday Special on Simply Florida Cookbook

12/18/2007 5:22 PM

5:21 p.m.

ALACHUA COUNTY - The Alachua County Extension Office is having a holiday special.  The office is offering their Simply Florida cookbook for the holiday price of $20, instead of the regular $25 price, until December 31.  The Simply Florida cookbook will make a great holiday gift.

The Simply Florida cookbook contains recipes inspired by Florida's cuisine and its bounty of sun-ripened fruits, beef, fresh seafood, and farm fresh vegetables. Proceeds from book sales benefit the Florida Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (FEAFCS).

The cookbook can be purchased online at www.simplyflorida.org.  Shipping is $5.  To avoid paying shipping, select the "In County Pickup" option when purchasing online, and pickup the cookbook at the Extension Office located at 2800 NE 39th Ave., open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

For more information, contact the Extension Office by phone at (352) 955-2402.
