Jail Diversion Programs Presentation

 ALACHUA COUNTY, Fl - Today, Thursday August 16, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. the Public Safety Coordinating Council will hear a presentation entitled, "Successful Programs that Divert Persons with Mental Illness from Jail."  Presenters are Miami-Dade Commissioner Natacha Seijas and Judge Steve Leifman, Eleventh Circuit Associate Administrative Judge and nationally recognized Special Advisor on Criminal Justice and Mental Health.  The presentation will take place in the Jury Work Room of the Alachua County Criminal Justice Center.

Prior to the presentation, at 2:00 p.m. there will be a meet and greet for Commissioner Seijas and Judge Leifman also in the Jury Work Room.
