WellFlorida Open House Features Alachua County CHOICES Seminar

ALACHUA COUNTY - Alachua County would like to invite small business owners and the general public to the WellFlorida Open House, A Celebration of Wellness, on November 15 during which Alachua County CHOICES will hold a free CHOICES Healthcare Seminar for Small Businesses.  The open house will be held at Ft. Clarke Business Center, 1785 NW 80th Blvd., Gainesville, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the CHOICES Healthcare Seminar will take place from noon to 1 p.m. during the open house.  Lunch will be catered by Crispers.
 
Five dollar flu shots will be available (while supplies last), as well as free health screenings, information, classes and food throughout the day.
 
Citizens can participate in a donation drive by bringing a bag of diapers for the Diaper Donation Drive for Healthy Start clients, or by bringing toiletries and paper products to donate to the Necessities for Living Drive for Low Income Persons With HIV/AIDS.  Additionally, the Civitan/Lifesouth Blood Mobile will be present to accept blood donations.
 
WellFlorida Council is a private, non-profit 501(c)-3 organization located in Gainesville since 1969 (under its previous name of North Central Florida Health Planning Council). WellFlorida, one of 11 local health councils in the state, was created as a response to a federal mandate that called for community input in the planning of healthcare facilities.
