Alachua County Talks Interview with Chris Bird

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – A new edition of "Alachua County Talks" featuring an interview with Alachua County Environmental Protection Department Director Chris Bird, airs tonight Friday June 15, 2012, on Community 12 TV at 7:30 p.m. Bird will be discussing issues related to the degradation of the local springs and rivers, and the challenges facing Floridians concerning an adequate supply of fresh water going into the future.   

In speaking of the program, Alachua County Talks host Mark Sexton said, "Director Bird adds a great deal of insight and understanding to the very complicated issues of water usage, conservation, and regulation.”

The latest editions of Alachua County Talks air at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. every night except Thursday, and at 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. every day. Special or regular County Commission and Gainesville City Commission meetings may preempt any showing.
