8th Ave. at 91st St. Intersection Modification Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Public Works Department is holding a public meeting for the SW 8th Avenue at SW 91st Street Intersection Modification project.  The meeting is on August 18, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the Tower Road Library (3020 SW 75th Street, Gainesville).  An informational presentation will be provided at 6:15 p.m. followed by a period of public comment. 

The Alachua County Public Works Department performed a detailed traffic study of the intersection to determine possible modifications to improve capacity.  The options that exist for this intersection include a signal and a roundabout.  The Department would like input from the public prior to finalizing a recommendation for approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
