Foster Grandparents Rock-a-thon

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The public is invited to join the Alachua County Foster Grandparent Program Advisory Council for the fifteenth annual Rock-A-Thon.  This event takes place on the front porch of the Cracker Barrel Restaurant (4001 SW 43rd Street, just West of I-75 on Archer Road) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Friday, May 6, 2011. This event is sponsored by the Village.

This is a fundraising event.  Donations are made on behalf of the rockers with all proceeds going to the Foster Grandparent Program to support training and recognition events.

Foster Grandparent volunteers work one-on-one with children who have special needs in elementary schools, child care centers, and after-school programs.
