ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Extension Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture Programs, for April 2011. Wendy Wilber, Environmental Horticulture Agent, offers these programs.
· Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ “Pruning” – April 21, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Extension Office (2800 NE 39 Avenue)
Learn correct techniques and timing for hand pruning shrubs and perennials in your landscape.
· Raised Bed Vegetable Gardening – April 28, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Extension Office (2800 NE 39 Avenue)
Demonstration gardens are located on site. This course will cover vegetable gardening basics and teach you how to use raised beds for increased efficiency.
