New CHOICES Director, Robert Bailey

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County's Department of Community Support Services is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Robert Bailey as the new Director of The CHOICES Health Service Program.  His starting salary is $66,146.00, and he begins working today, March 29, 2010.

Mr. Bailey has a Master of Science Degree in Health Administration and Planning and spent 22 years with Humana, Inc.  During his tenure there he served as CEO of three hospitals and set up hospital networks in fifty markets. 

Mr. Bailey also has experience in behavioral care management. He directed clinical operations, finance, claims, information systems, provider services and network development serving over 125,000 Medicaid recipients in the Philadelphia area. He also served over 40 companies and 85,000 beneficiaries in a national employee assistance program.

"We feel fortunate to have hired someone with his background in healthcare services and believe he will be an asset to the CHOICES Program." says Alachua County Community Support Services Assistant Director, Lanard Perry.

CHOICES is a health services program offered by the Alachua County Board of Commissioners. The program is designed to help working uninsured residents of Alachua County stay healthy. Through partnerships with local medical and dental care providers, CHOICES provides access to services that many people need, but may put off due to a lack of adequate health coverage.
