Facilities Manager

Responsible for work planning, organizing, and directing the activities of Facilities Management. Directs daily activities to provide maintenance and repair services to occupants of County owned or leased facilities. Negotiates contracts with architects and construction managers for construction projects. Coordinates the Capital Improvements Program for County facilities. Provides space for all County offices. Plans and implements long-range planning forecasting for County facilities.

Fiscal

Assists the Facilities Manager in the administrative operations of the office staff. Responsible for supervising the work in the development and implementation of accounting and budgeting activities. Assigns duties and examines work for conformance to polices and procedures. Writes justifications for overrun or underrun of budget estimates. Maintains accounting ledgers on receivables, payables and purchase orders, audits reports and balances to ledgers. Prepares vendor contracts and reviews prior to submission; tracks and monitors adherence to contracts. Maintains data for security cards for Administration and State Attorney's Buildings

Capital Projects are responsible for monitoring and reviewing capital improvement projects. Responsible for either assigning task assignments or RFP for architectural services and overseeing the programming and design phase of the projects. Coordinates advertising dates with Purchasing and directs pre-construction meetings. Monitors construction activities and directs construction meetings, reviews requests for payment, reviews all change orders, and resolves issues identified during the construction process. Responsible for assisting the user groups in any moving needs and ensures receipt of warranties, operation and maintenance manuals and as-built drawings.

Energy Management

Compiles monthly energy reports on consumption of electricity, fuel, oil, LP gas, and water in County facilities. Sets up energy monitoring devices in County facilities. Visits County facilities on a regular basis to inspect monitoring devices and utilities usage. Recommends energy conservation policies and procedures to Facilities Management. Analyzes data on program effectiveness and prepares reports. Recommends new energy management.

Facilities Superintendent

Assists the Facilities Manager in administrative operations and supervising the activities of the building and facilities maintenance and repair operations. Develops and implements plans and programs for the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment. Develops and monitors energy conservation programs, safety programs and operating procedures.

Building Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Jail facility of subordinate employees including determining work procedures and schedules; issuing instructions and assigning duties; reviewing work, recommending personnel actions, conducting performance reviews; and conducting department training and orientation. Assists management with formulation of policies, procedures and plans for the Facilities Management Department. Performs skilled journeyman level work in one or more areas including HVAC, electrical, painting, plumbing and carpentry.
