Downtown Farmers Garden Open House and Spring Fling

The Downtown Farmers Garden hosted over 15 attendees last Tuesday April 10th, 2012 during an Open House Spring Fling as a part of Sustainable UF Food for Thought Campaign. Wendy Wilber of IFAS Extensions spoke on raised bed gardening, Travis Mitchell of Florida Organic Growers (FOG) led a tour and discussion of the garden, and volunteers helped harvest, plant, spread mulch, and pull up grass.

 

Weekly volunteer days at the Downtown Farmers Garden are Thursdays at 10 am.
