Longleaf Pine Restoration Workshop
A Longleaf Pine restoration workshop was held on February 28, 2014 at O’leno State Park. The workshop included presentations about springs protection, Longleaf Pine management, groundcover restoration, pine straw harvesting, wildlife management, and conservation easements. The workshop concluded with a walking field tour of Longleaf Pine stands at O’leno State Park. Longleaf Pine site was planted in the western portion of Poe Springs Park as a demonstration restoration. Click the links below to see the presentations. Funding was provided by a Protect Florida Springs Tag Grant and administered by the Wildlife Foundation of Florida.

Springs Saver Landscaping Workshop
A Springs Saver Landscaping Workshop was held on February 16, 2013 at Poe Springs Park. The workshop included planting a springs friendly landscape at the park and presentations about springs, rain gardens, low impact design and development, water conservation and springs, and landscape planting for dry areas and water conservation.
