The Alachua County Prescription Discount Card, in conjunction with the National Association of Counties (NACo), is offering a discount card program to help residents cope with the cost of prescription drugs. The rising cost of medication and the lack of access to affordable health services make it very difficult for people at all income levels to obtain health care. Consequently, many people are forced to choose between purchasing medications or attending to basic daily needs. Alachua County is offering a complementary discount card to help ease the burden faced by many residents.​
