8-24-21 Commission Regular Meeting

The Alachua County Commission will conduct a hybrid Regular Meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. The evening portion of the meeting is canceled.

The Commission will take public comment in person or by calling 1-800-876-7516. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. The public may view the meeting on Cox Channel 12, Facebook, and the County’s Video on Demand website.

  • Presentation of an Energy Efficiency and Affordable Housing Program
  • Tourist Development Tax Revenue Bonds, Series 2021A and 2021B
  • Discussion of the adoption of a Newberry CRA

  • Repeal of Tobacco 21 Ordinance 2019-04 and use of E-Cigarettes and Liquid Nicotine Ordinance 2013-17
  • Public Hearing on Unified Land Development Code amendments relating to the County Growth Management Area Charter provisions
  • Public Hearing on amendments to Unified Land Development Code Subdivision regulations for rural residential subdivisions
  • CPA-03-21: A Public Hearing to Consider Adoption of an Amendment to Policy 3.11.1 of the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Element regarding the Rural Commercial Agriculture land use designation.
  • ZOM-04-21: A request for a minor amendment to the Saint Francis High School Planned Development
